The Inca Religion

The Incas were polytheists (they worshipped several different gods). The most important god was Inti, the sun god. The Incas also worshipped Quilla the moon goddess, wife of the sun. Sadly, their success was short-lived. A few generations later, the conquerors became the conquered when Francisco Pizarro and his Spanish troops arrived in Peru in 1532, a year to remember for all the South American people.
